Amanda Crow

My name is…

Although a Midwesterner at heart, raised in the suburbs of Ohio, I found my true place in the Netherlands and, more specifically, in Amsterdam. I've never felt more free than when cruising on a road or city bike in a country made for cycling. Pedaling under the sun feels like paradise, but even during the dark and dreary days, cycling never stops here and even thrives. Cylcocross (veldrijden in Dutch), the winter cycling sport, is where my interest in photography collided with my passion for cycling. I loved capturing the action, the grit, and most of all the riders.

I quickly found a teacher, Megan Alter Photography, who turned into a mentor in my never-ending photography journey. With every class attended and course completed, I used that knowledge to hone my skills. My dedication to the artistic pursuit of photography was recognized when I placed as a finalist in the Mark Gunter Photo Awards 2023 - Amateur category. These awards are specifically for cycling, and you can find my nominated entry below.

Cycling photography is my passion, and I've photographed cycling events of all levels. However, I have experience in event and portrait photography, as well as wildlife photography. I love capturing action, candid moments, details big and small. My work ethic is one of complete dedication to the needs of my clients. Contact me using the form below or by phone/email, so we can discuss how I can help you with your photography needs.
